We are delighted to announce our place on the Beacon School 2023-24 Programme.
The programme will provide research-informed professional development in Holocaust education. The programme lasts for four consecutive academic terms, starting in June 2023 and running through to the end of December 2024. This will aid the Academy in the following ways:
- Deepen historical knowledge and understanding
- Develop and refine learning on the Holocaust
- Increase confidence in teaching about the Holocaust
- Provide opportunities to engage in educational research
Ms Cullen, Lead of History at The Victory Academy, said:
“Miss Dower and I are extremely proud to be accepted onto the programme at UCL and are excited to engage with all students at Victory in this project.
During the next academic year, we will be working with UCL to develop an engaging scheme of work for our year 9 cohort. This is an exciting opportunity for our students to extend their knowledge and involvement during Holocaust Memorial Month and Term 3."
