Students at The Victory Academy are celebrating after receiving their GCSE results
Students and staff at The Victory Academy, part of Thinking Schools Academy Trust, are celebrating today as they receive their GCSE grades.
The Academy is pleased to see a year of strong results. In line with the Academy’s status as a Platinum Artsmark school, there were particular successes in both Art and Performing Arts. Half of all students sitting GCSE Art achieved a grade 6 or above. Students also performed strongly in BTEC Sport, achieving almost a grade above the national average.
The vast majority of students will now transition to their first-choice post-16 destination, including A Level and BTEC courses at The Victory Academy.
There are also some standout individual performances. These include:
Michelle Smith Principal at The Victory Academy said:
“I am delighted for our students receiving their GCSE results today. After the disruption to education during the pandemic, our students and staff have worked incredibly hard, and it is fantastic to see the results of their efforts.
“We are excited to see what the future holds for them and look forward to welcoming many of them back to our sixth form in September. We would like to say a huge thank you to all our students, parents, carers, staff and local community for your support and encouragement.”
Stuart Gardner, CEO of Thinking Schools Academy Trust, added:
“I am delighted for our students at The Victory Academy. They have worked exceptionally hard, and it is great to see them excited about their future. Well done to all!”
