Students and staff at The Victory Academy located in Chatham and part of the Thinking Schools Academy Trust, are celebrating today as this year’s GCSE results are revealed.
The results reflect the hard work shown by pupils following two years of studies and the support given by dedicated staff and families.
The Victory Academy is pleased to have achieved another strong set of GCSE results. Building on sustained progress over the last three years, this year's students achieved the schools highest ever proportion of 7+ grades. The number of students achieving either a Grade 4+ or Grade 5+ above in English and mathematics has also risen again.
The Academy saw particular success across a range of subjects, including French and dance, where 100% of students achieved Grade 4 or above. In chemistry over 42% of students received a Grade 7 or above whilst in Spanish 35% of students received a Grade 7 or above. Strong outcomes were also achieved in physics with 95% of students receiving a Grade 5 or above, sport with 95% of students achieving a Grade 4 and art graphics, with 79% achieving Grade 4 or above.

These results also reflect the enormous skill and efforts of staff supporting students as the arrive in Year 7 right up until they sit their exams in Year 11.
