Students celebrate GCSE results!

July 27, 2022 01:02pm

Students and staff at The Victory Academy are celebrating today as they receive their GCSE results.

This year, despite the challenges caused by the pandemic, students have excelled by making excellent progress and are now preparing for the next stage of their education.

Due to the pandemic, the Government made the decision that this year, young people’s grades would be determined by teachers, based on work they had produced throughout their courses. These grades were then moderated and assessed by external exam boards who awarded the final grades

Although we are extremely proud of all our students and staff, we have some individual achievements that really stand out:

  • Jake Kelleher achieved fantastic results including 5 grade 9s and a Distinction star.  Jake is continuing his studies at The Victory Academy to study Chemistry, Further Maths and Biology.
  • Chloe Warner’s dedication to study has resulted in superb progress and results including grade 7s in Combined Science, Art and History.  Chloe is continuing her studies at The Victory Academy to study Biology, Art and English Literature.
  • Jennie Bevan has made outstanding progress achieving 10 GCSEs at grade 6 and higher.  Well done Jennie!

“I am incredibly proud of all of our students receiving their results today.  They have worked extremely hard and shown resilience and determination throughout, despite the extra challenges presented by the pandemic.

We look forward to working with many of students progressing to join our Sixth Form and wish other the very best of luck for the next stages of their education.”

We are excited to see what the future holds for our students and would like to say a huge thank you to all our students, parents, carers, staff and local community for your support and encouragement.” - Mrs Smith, Principal at the Victory Academy

“I am delighted for our students! I am immensely proud to have been part of their journey and I wish them the very best of luck for their next steps.  Well done year 11!” -Ms Gage, Director of Education for Chatham Hub of the Thinking Schools Academy Trust
