We are proud to share that The Victory Academy has been featured in a national Arts Award interview blog, recognising our innovative approach to delivering the Bronze Arts Award across an entire Year 7 cohort.

The feature celebrates our commitment to placing creativity, culture and opportunity at the heart of school life, and highlights how our students benefit from a rich arts curriculum that supports them to explore their identity, develop new skills and engage meaningfully with the world around them.

Speaking in the interview, Mrs Dawkins, Assistant Headteacher for Key Stage 3 and Creative Curriculum, said:

We are passionate about ensuring every student has access to high-quality creative experiences. By embedding the arts into everyday learning, we’ve been able to create a programme where students can express themselves, build confidence and feel a real sense of belonging.

Through a carefully structured and inclusive programme, our Year 7 students took part in a shared creative journey that combined artistic practice with reflection and personal expression. Students explored themes of identity and heritage, while also developing confidence, resilience and communication skills.

One of the most powerful aspects of the programme was its ability to bring the entire cohort together while still valuing each individual voice. The final outcome was a striking collective display that celebrates both individuality and community and is something we are immensely proud to showcase within our school.

This recognition also reflects the dedication and collaboration of staff across the academy. Their careful planning and shared commitment ensured a high-quality and meaningful experience for every student involved.

We are incredibly proud of all our students and staff. Being recognised in this way is a testament to the creativity, ambition and inclusive ethos that define The Victory Academy.
