Students and staff at The Victory Academy, part of the Thinking Schools Academy Trust, are celebrating after receiving their A-Level grades.

This year, despite the challenges caused by the pandemic, students have excelled.  Many students are now preparing to head off to  university, an apprenticeship or job of their choice.

Although we are extremely proud of all our students and staff, The Victory Academy saw particular success in biology, performing arts, sport, religious studies and product design.  We have some individual achievements that really stand out:

  • Lucy Martin achieved A*A*A in biology, Mathematics and chemistry and has secured a place to study medicine at the University of Southampton.
  • Rigona Gjinovci achieved  AAA in art, religious studies and sociology and has secured a place to study International Relations at the London School of Economics.
  • Christianah Obajuwon achieved A*AAA in law, history, sociology and the Extended Project Qualification and has secured a place to study European and International Law at the University of Sheffield.
  • Jason Constant achieved A*AB in sociology, applied criminology and history and an A* in the Extended Project Qualification and has secured a place to study Accounting and Finance at the University of Leeds.
  • Rosy Arbon achieved 3 starred distinctions in BTEC Sport and has secured a place to study Physiotherapy at Canterbury Christchurch University.
  • Jaznin Lewis achieved A* in both product design and art and will go the University for the Creative Arts to study Interior Architecture and Design.
  • Sophia MacWilliam achieved 3 starred distinctions in BTEC Health and Social Care and has secured a place to study Special Educational Needs and Inclusion at Canterbury Christchurch University.
  • Dilin Uka achieved AAB in mathematics, product design and chemistry and will study Mechanical Engineering at Bristol, University of the West of England.

“I am incredibly proud of our students as they receive their A level results today. They have worked extremely hard over the last two years and have taken all the extra challenges of the pandemic in their stride. To see them receive the grades they deserve and be able to progress onto their next steps of their lives is fantastic.

We are excited to see what the future holds for them and would like to say a huge thank you to all our students, parents, carers, staff and local community for your support and encouragement.” - Mrs. Smith, Principal at The Victory Acdemy

“I am delighted for our students! They have worked exceptionally hard, and it is great to see them excited about their future. I am immensely proud to have been part of their journey.  Well done to all!” - Ms Gage, Director of Education for Chatham Hub of the Thinking Schools Academy Trust.
